Information on Professional and Academic Career
In 2006, he graduated from the Saint Petersburg State Forestry Academy (currently known as the Saint Petersburg State Forestry University named after S.M. Kirov). After completing his studies at the Academy, he went to Alnarp, Sweden, to the Department of Forest Ecology and Management at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), to collect material and write his master's thesis. He had been studying at SLU since 2005. In 2007, he successfully defended his thesis and received a Master's degree in "Forest Management." In 2006, he enrolled as a postgraduate student in the Department of Silviculture at the Saint Petersburg State Forestry Academy.
From 2009 to 2012 – Assistant at the Department of Silviculture, Saint Petersburg State Forestry University (SPbSFTU).
From 2010 to 2018 – General Director of LLC "Helianthus." He has been the main founder since the company's establishment and remains so to this day. His responsibilities as head included organizing and coordinating work, maintaining accounting and tax records, and overseeing the most significant projects.
The primary focus of LLC "Helianthus" was the implementation of intellectual property results in production, developed based on SPbSFTU's research and having potential practical applications. The company's specific niche involved work related to forests and urban green spaces, including forest management planning, forest survey and inventory, green space inventory and certification, and much more, during the period from 2010 to 2018.
From 2011 to 2019 – Invited lecturer at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Alnarp, Sweden. Courses taught: Forest Policy and Silviculture. Organizer of practical internship courses for foreign students and faculty of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Russia as part of the Forest Policy course, involving visits to regional-level state forest management authorities, forest users, industry representatives, and non-governmental organizations.
From 2012 to the present – Associate Professor at the Department of Silviculture, SPbSFTU (part-time at 0.5 rate since 2016). Courses taught: Silviculture, Forest Bioeconomy, Forest Policy (in English). One of the contributors to the development of the two-year English-language master's program "FORPEC" for forestry university students. Developer of a modular course in English on "Forest Policy." Participated as both executor and lead in 12 research projects. From 2015 to 2023, served as project lead for the development of the Model Forest Code for CIS countries (New Edition). Since 2018, participant in an international project on Forest Bioeconomy.
From 2016 to 2021 – Head of the Research Projects and Programs Office at SPbSFTU.
From 2021 to the present – Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs at SPbSFTU.
From 2019 to the present – Co-founder and Project Manager at LLC "Crystacell" (a Skolkovo resident focused on developing and implementing new technologies in the chemical industry of the forestry sector, particularly in processing cellulose into secondary products).

Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation "For long-term and dedicated service in forestry and significant contribution to the preservation and enhancement of forest resources" (Order No. 584-ls dated August 22, 2018).
