Brian McClay is Chairman of TTOBMA, a privately-held pulp and paper competitive intelligence and net-price indices provider with offices in Fort Mill, South Carolina; Montreal, Canada; Shanghai, China and Dubai, UAE.

TTO publishes transactions-based, net-price indices for most grades of pulp in major markets, which are increasingly referenced in pulp supply contracts, and for major grades of recovered paper and tissue paper in North America. It also publishes TTONow daily ‘anecdotal’ net-price indices for China’s domestic resale market for many grades of pulp, including Bamboo, and selected grades of paper and paperboard.

BMA’s primary function is to help subscribers track and forecast global pulp market conditions, trends and prices. Subscribers include pulp producers that account for around 80% of world capacity as well as many buyers, agents, traders, financial institutions and others.

Brian established the company in 1997 after a long career at the Montreal-based Canadian Pulp and Paper Association where he was responsible for international trade and sustainability issues.
